Sourcing

Every factual claim in a reported article traces to a primary source: a platform’s own published documentation, a public profile or channel, a public record, or an encyclopaedic entry that itself cites the record. We link those sources in the text and list them at the end of the article. Where a figure comes from a public statistics page, we say when we retrieved it.

Quotation

We quote only words that appear verbatim in a source we have read, and we attribute them. We do not paraphrase a quotation and present it as one, and we do not invent quotations for effect.

Essays and opinion

Pieces in our Essays section argue a point of view. They are labelled as essays in the section chip at the top of the page, and the argument is the author’s. The facts inside an essay are held to the same sourcing standard as a reported piece.

Bylines

Articles are published under The Platform Post’s staff byline. We do not attach invented names to our work.

Independence

We do not publish sponsored content, native advertising or paid placements, and we do not accept payment or gifts for coverage.

Images

Images are credited in the caption to the account or organisation that published them. Illustrations and charts made by The Platform Post are marked as ours.

Corrections

When an article contains an error, we correct the text and add a dated note at the end of the article describing what changed. Every correction is recorded on the corrections page. Requests go to contact@theplatformpost.com.

Privacy

The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our privacy page describes what is and is not collected.
